Our journey to becoming a fair activewear brand

The idea

We, Mike and Aisha, have been a couple since 2018, enjoy doing sports and simply going out into nature 🌳

One day, the idea of founding our own activewear brand suddenly emerged. But not just any activewear - it should be fair activewear!

Our clothing has to feel good, look good and offer the best performance - and the best thing is that it will be made out of a big amount of sustainable materials. For our first collection we are using recycled materials.

The name

So we had the idea, now we needed a name for our brand and our company.

We thought about it for a long time, wrote down lots of names and also asked around friends and family. In the end, we decided on the name GenActive.

GenActive stands for Generation Active. We believe that instead of GenZ, GenY etc., there is only one generation and that is GenActive!

With GenActive we want to create a community that supports each other to be active and self-confident, nobody is excluded! Everyone is welcome here

The story

We decided to set up a limited liability company and were able to have everything notarised by the notary at the end of November 2022. We have been registered in the Swiss commercial register as GenActive GmbH since December 2022! 🥳

We started looking for a suitable partner to fulfil our requirements. It had to be someone who already has a lot of experience in our industry and can share their expertise with us so that we can meet our quality standards. Our aim is for you, our customers, to love your sportswear and want to wear it all the time!

Our search was successful. We have found a partner from Europe who has a lot of experience in the production of sustainable sportswear and already works with some major brands.
