It goes without saying that GenActive complies with the legal provisions of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), the Swiss Ordinance to the Federal Act on Data Protection (OFADP), the Swiss Telecommunications Act (TCA) and, where applicable, other data protection regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (GDPR).
For reasons of better readability, the masculine form is used in this privacy policy for personal designations and special nouns. Corresponding terms apply to all genders in the interests of equal treatment. The abbreviated form is for editorial reasons only and does not imply any judgement.

e) are processed in a manner that ensures appropriate security, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage.
2) Lawfulness of data processing
By accessing the website www.gen-active.com, the user consents to the processing of personal data concerning him/her, especially as this can also be assumed to be in the user's overriding interest.
The user has the right to withdraw their consent at any time (by e-mail to contact@gen-active.com). The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
3) Scope and purpose of the collection, processing and use of personal data
a) When visiting www.gen-active.com
When you visit www.gen-active.com, the servers temporarily store every access in a log file. The following data is recorded without any action on the part of the user and stored until it is automatically deleted after 3 months at the latest:
- The IP address of the requesting computer,
- the date and time of access
- the name and URL of the retrieved file
- the website from which the access was made
- the operating system of the accessing computer and the browser used
- the country from which the access was made and the language settings of the browser and
- the name of the Internet access provider.
This data is collected and processed for the purpose of enabling the use of the website (establishing a connection), ensuring system security and stability and enabling the optimisation of the website as well as for internal statistical purposes. The IP address is used in particular to determine the user's country of residence and to preset the language of the website accordingly. Furthermore, the IP address is analysed in the event of attacks on the network infrastructure of www.gen-active.com and for statistical purposes.
In addition, and if the user has consented, GenActive uses so-called pixels and cookies to display personalised advertising and to use web analysis services when visiting the website.
b) when using the contact form
Users have the option of using a contact form to get in touch with GenActive. The entry of the following personal data is required:
- First name and surname,
- telephone number and
- e-mail address.
If this information is not provided, this may hinder the provision of GenActive's services.
GenActive only uses this data to answer the contact request in the best possible and personalised way.
c) When registering for the newsletter
You have the option of subscribing to the newsletter on the website. Registration is required for this. The following data must be provided during registration:
- E-mail address.
The above data is required for data processing. GenActive processes this data exclusively in order to better tailor the information and offers sent to you to your interests.
By registering, you give GenActive your consent to process the data provided for the purpose of sending the newsletter to the address you have provided and for the statistical evaluation of user behaviour and optimisation of the newsletter. This consent constitutes the legal basis for the processing of your e-mail address within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. GenActive is authorised to commission third parties with the technical processing of advertising measures and is entitled to pass on your data for this purpose.
At the end of each newsletter you will find a link that you can use to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. When you unsubscribe, you can voluntarily state the reason for unsubscribing. After cancellation, your personal data will be deleted. Further processing only takes place in anonymised form to optimise the newsletter.
The newsletter is sent using the mailing service provider "MailChimp", a newsletter mailing platform of the US provider Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. You can view the privacy policy of the mailing service provider here: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/. The shipping service provider is used on the basis of the legitimate interests of GenActive pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
The mailing service provider may use the recipients' data in pseudonymous form, i.e. without assigning it to a user, to optimise or improve its own services, e.g. to technically optimise the mailing and presentation of the newsletter or for statistical purposes. However, the mailing service provider does not use the data of newsletter recipients to write to them itself or to pass the data on to third parties.
The data you provide to GenActive for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the servers of GenActive as well as from the servers of the respective newsletter service provider after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data stored by GenActive for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for the member area) remain unaffected by this.
GenActive uses the email marketing services of third parties to send the newsletter. The newsletter may therefore contain a so-called web beacon (tracking pixel) or similar technical means. A web beacon is a 1x1 pixel, invisible graphic that is associated with the user ID of the respective newsletter subscriber.
The use of corresponding services makes it possible to analyse whether the emails were opened via the newsletter. In addition, the click behaviour of newsletter recipients can also be recorded and evaluated. GenActive uses this data for statistical purposes and to optimise the newsletter in terms of content and structure. The tracking pixel is deleted when you delete the newsletter.
To prevent tracking pixels in the newsletter, please set your mail programme so that no HTML is displayed in messages.
GenActive uses a success measurement tool to measure the success of the newsletter. For this purpose, GenActive obtains the user's consent, which must be given when registering to receive the newsletter.
d) Registration and customer account
You have the option of registering on the website and thus opening a customer account. The following data must be provided for this purpose:
- First name and surname,
- e-mail address.
The above data is required for data processing. GenActive processes this data exclusively in order to personalise the information and offers sent to you and to better tailor them to your interests.
By registering, you give GenActive your consent to process the data provided for the regular sending of advertising campaigns (online or print) to the address you have provided and for the statistical evaluation of user behaviour. This consent constitutes the legal basis for the processing of your data within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. GenActive is authorised to commission third parties with the technical processing of advertising measures and is entitled to pass on your data for this purpose.
You can revoke your consent to the processing of your data at any time (at contact@gen-active.com). After cancellation, your personal data will be deleted.
4) Use of your data for advertising purposes
a) In general
GenActive may use personal data of the users of www.gen-active.com to advertise its products
articles (online and/or print advertising etc.). GenActive is permitted to pass on personal data to third parties acting on behalf of GenActive for this purpose. By using the website, the user expressly agrees to this use of their data.
b) Creation of pseudonymised user profiles
In order to provide you with personalised services and information on the website (on-site targeting), GenActive uses and analyses the data that is collected about you when you visit the website. Cookies may also be used for the corresponding processing. The analysis of your user behaviour can lead to the creation of a so-called user profile. The usage data is only merged with pseudonymised, but never with non-pseudonymised personal data.
In order to enable personalised marketing in social networks, GenActive integrates so-called remarketing pixels from Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) on the website. If you have an account with one of these social networks and are logged in there at the time you visit the site, this pixel links the site visit to your account. Log out of your respective account before visiting the site to prevent a link. You can make further settings for advertising in the respective social networks in your user profile. GenActive bases the creation of pseudonymised user profiles for advertising and analysis purposes on a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in direct marketing and analysing the use of the website.
c) Re-targeting
GenActive uses re-targeting technologies on the website. This involves analysing your user behaviour on the website in order to be able to offer you individually tailored advertising on partner websites. Your user behaviour is recorded pseudonymously. Most re-targeting technologies work with cookies.
d) Google Ads Remarketing and/or Doubleclick by Google
This website uses Google Ads Remarketing and/or Doubleclick by Google, services of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google") to display adverts based on the use of previously visited websites. For this purpose, Google uses the so-called DoubleClick cookie, which enables your browser to be recognised when you visit other websites. The information generated by the cookie about your visit to this website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States (see below for more information on transfers of personal data to the United States).
Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website with regard to the advertisements to be placed, to compile reports on website activities and advertisements for the website operators and to provide further services associated with the use of the website and the Internet. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. However, Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
GenActive may use Google Tag Manager to manage usage-based advertising services. The Tag Manager tool itself is a cookie-less domain and does not collect any personal data.Instead, the tool triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. If you have deactivated at domain or cookie level, this remains in place for all tracking tags that are implemented with Google Tag Manager.
You can prevent re-targeting at any time by rejecting or switching off the relevant cookies in the menu bar of your web browser. You can also request an opt-out for the other advertising and re-targeting tools mentioned via the Digital Advertising Alliance website at optout.aboutads.info.
e) Use of Google Adsense
This website uses Google AdSense, a service for integrating adverts from Google Inc ("Google").Google AdSense uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site.Google AdSense also uses so-called web beacons (invisible graphics). These web beacons can be used to analyse information such as visitor traffic on these pages.
The information generated by cookies and web beacons about the use of this website (including your IP address) and the delivery of advertising formats is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. This information may be passed on by Google to contractual partners of Google. However, Google will not merge your IP address with other data stored by you.
You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
5) Integration of third-party services and content and/or transfer of data to third parties
It may happen that content or services from third-party providers, such as city maps or fonts from other websites, are integrated within the GenActive online offering. The integration of content from such third-party providers always requires that they recognise the IP address of the user. Without the IP address, the content cannot be sent to the respective browser. The IP address is therefore required to display this content. Third-party providers can also set their own cookies and process user data for their own purposes. User profiles can be created from the processed data. GenActive uses this content as sparingly as possible and in a data-avoiding manner and selects reliable third-party providers with regard to data security.
It may also happen that GenActive Online forwards data collected via this website to third-party providers, possibly also outside the EU.
The following presentation provides an overview of third-party providers and their content, as well as links to their data protection declarations, which contain further information on their data processing:
Maps from the "Google Maps" service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. When you visit the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of the website. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not wish your data to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or customising its website. Such an analysis is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide customised advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on the website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Google to exercise this right. For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by Google, as well as further information on your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy, please visit https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/, Opt-Out: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/.

This website uses the reCAPTCHA service from Google Inc (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google"). The query serves the purpose of distinguishing whether the input is made by a human or by automated, machine processing. The query includes sending the IP address and any other data required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service to Google. For this purpose, your input is transmitted to Google and used there. On behalf of GenActive, Google will use this information to analyse your use of this service. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of reCaptcha will not be merged with other Google data. Your data may also be transmitted to the USA. The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR with your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. You can find more information about Google reCAPTCHA and the associated privacy policy at: https://www.google.com/privacy/ads/.
This website uses the Google Tag Manager. This is a solution with which GenActive can manage so-called website tags via an interface and thus, for example, integrate Google Analytics and other Google marketing services into the online offer. The Tag Manager itself, which implements the tags, does not process any personal user data. With regard to the processing of personal data, please refer to the following information on Google services: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html.
This website uses Hubspot, a marketing automation software from HubSpot, 2nd Floor 30 North Wall Quay, Dublin 1, Ireland. HubSpot is a software company from the USA with a European branch in Ireland. Hubspot supports GenActive in analysing the use of the website. Hubspot uses cookies for this purpose. Certain usage data is linked to your person (e.g. after entry in a registration form) and stored in the CRM. This enables GenActive to send you information and offers tailored to your interests. Your personal data may also be forwarded to Hubspot servers in the United States (USA). GenActive uses Hubspot to provide you with customised information and offers. Accordingly, GenActive has a legitimate interest in this processing within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. When using Hubspot, GenActive stores your personal data for as long as is necessary to provide you with customised information and offers. The provision of personal data collected via Hubspot is not required by law or contract or necessary for the conclusion of a contract. If you do not provide this data, GenActive will not be able to provide you with customised information and offers. For more information on Hubspot's use of data, please refer to Hubspot's privacy policy at https://legal.hubspot.com/de/privacy-policy.
You can object to the use of your data at any time, e.g. by e-mail contact@gen-active.com.

6) Disclosure of data to third parties
GenActive will only pass on your personal data if you have expressly consented to this, if there is a legal obligation to do so or if this is necessary to enforce the rights of GenActive, in particular to enforce claims arising from the relationship with you.
In addition, GenActive will pass on your data to third parties insofar as this is necessary when using the website to provide the services you have requested and to analyse your user behaviour. Insofar as this is necessary for the purposes mentioned in sentence 1, the transfer may also take place abroad. If the website contains links to third-party websites, GenActive no longer has any influence on the collection, processing, storage or use of personal data by the third party after clicking on these links and GenActive assumes no responsibility for this.
7) Data security
GenActive uses suitable technical and organisational security measures to protect your stored personal data against manipulation, partial or complete loss and against unauthorised access by third parties. The security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
You should always treat your payment information confidentially and close the browser window when you have finished communicating with GenActive, especially if you share the computer with others.
GenActive also takes internal company data protection very seriously. Employees and contracted service providers are obliged to maintain confidentiality and to comply with data protection regulations.
8) Cookies
Cookies help in many ways to make your visit to the website easier, more pleasant and more meaningful. Cookies are information files that your web browser automatically saves on your computer's hard drive when you visit the website. Cookies do not damage your computer's hard drive, nor do they transmit personal user data to GenActive.
GenActive uses cookies, for example, to better tailor the information, offers and advertising displayed to you to your individual interests. The use of cookies does not result in GenActive receiving any new personal data about you as an online visitor. Most Internet browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or so that a message always appears when you receive a new cookie.
If you deactivate cookies, you may not be able to use all the functions of the website.
9) Security during data transmission with SSL
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data that you transmit to GenActive cannot be read by third parties.
10) Tracking tools
GenActive uses so-called tracking tools on the website. These tracking tools are used to monitor your surfing behaviour. This observation is carried out for the purpose of demand-oriented design and continuous optimisation of the website. In this context, pseudonymised user profiles are created and small text files stored on your computer ("cookies") are used.
a) Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. GenActive has also added the code "anonymiseIP" to Google Analytics on this website. This guarantees that your IP address is masked so that all data is collected anonymously. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.
On behalf of GenActive, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to GenActive. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. However, GenActive would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading the browser plug-in available under the following link and install: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. As an alternative to the browser add-on, especially for browsers on mobile devices, you can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting data by:
<a href="javascript:gaOptout()">click on this link</a> insert. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent future collection of your data when you visit this website. The opt-out cookie only applies in this browser and only for this website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you will have to set the opt-out cookie again. [Note Information on integrating the opt-out cookie can be found at: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/gajs/?hl=de#disable].
GenActive also uses Google Analytics to evaluate data from double-click cookies and ads for statistical purposes. If you do not want this, you can deactivate this via the ad preferences manager (http://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/?hl=de).
GenActive uses Google Analytics including the functions of Universal Analytics or Google Analytics 4 (GA4). This makes it possible to analyze the activities on the websites across devices (e.g. when accessed with a notebook and later via a tablet). This is made possible by the pseudonymous assignment of a user ID to a user. Such an assignment occurs, for example, when you register for a customer account or log in to your customer account. However, no personal data will be passed on to Google. Even if Universal Analytics or Google Analytics 4 adds additional functions to Google Analytics, this does not mean that there is a restriction on data protection measures such as IP masking or the browser add-on.
b) Google Ads
GenActive uses the online advertising program “Google Ads” and conversion tracking as part of Google Ads. Google Conversion Tracking is an analysis service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). If you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie for conversion tracking will be stored on your computer. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days, do not contain any personal data and are therefore not used for personal identification. If you visit certain web pages on the website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and GenActive can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to that page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. There is therefore no possibility that cookies can be tracked via the websites of Ads customers.
The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. This tells them the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, you will not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.
If you do not want to take part in tracking, you can object to this use by preventing the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly (deactivation option). You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. Further information and Google's data protection declaration can be found at: http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/ and http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/
c) TikTok Ads
GenActive uses the TikTok Pixel on its website. The TikTok Pixel is a TikTok advertiser tool from the two providers TikTok Technology Limited, 10 Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin, D02 T380, Ireland, and TikTok Information Technologies UK Limited, WeWork, 125 Kingsway, London, WC2B 6NH, United Kingdom (collectively “TikTok” ). The TikTok Pixel is a snippet of JavaScript code that allows GenActive to understand and track visitors' activities on their website. For this purpose, the Tiktok Pixel collects and processes information about the users of the website or the devices they use. The data collected via the TikTok Pixel is used to target advertisements and to improve ad delivery and for personalized advertising. For this purpose, the data collected on our website using the TikTok pixel is transmitted to TikTok. Some of this data is information that is stored in the device used by the user. In addition, cookies are also used via the TikTok Pixel, through which information is stored on the device you use. Such storage of information by the TikTok Pixel or access to information that is already stored in your device only takes place with the user's consent.
For more information about how TikTok processes personal data, including the legal basis TikTok relies on and how you can exercise your rights against TikTok, please see TikTok's privacy policy at https://ads.tiktok.com/i18n/official /policy/terms.
d) Meta Pixels (Facebook)
GenActive uses Facebook's Meta Pixel on this website. The pixel is JavaScript code that loads a collection of functions that allow Facebook to track the user's actions. The meta pixel stores user actions in one or more cookies. These cookies enable Facebook to compare user data (customer data such as IP address, user ID) with the data from the user's Facebook account. As a result, Facebook deletes this data again. The data collected is anonymous and cannot be viewed by GenActive and can only be used in the context of advertising.
If the user is logged in to Facebook, he can change his advertising settings according to the instructions at:
https://de-de.facebook.com/help/568137493302217/?helpref=uf_share
himself. If the user is not a Facebook user, he can generally manage his usage-based online advertising at https://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/?tid=331670759032. There you have the option to deactivate or activate providers. Facebook also distributes recorded data in the USA. This can involve various risks to the legality and security of data processing. The Facebook data protection declaration can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/dataprocessing
e) Instagram tracking
This website uses Instagram's tracking tool. Instagram is a social media platform owned by Meta Platforms, Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA-94025, USA. Instagram uses cookies and also carries out tracking. These cookies can be managed, disabled or deleted in the browser. Instagram also processes data in the USA. GenActive points out that there is no adequate level of protection for data transfer to the USA. This can involve various risks. The user is aware of this and agrees to it. Instagram’s privacy policy can be found at: https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388.
f) Shopify geolocation
GenActive uses Shopify's Geolocation app on this website. The user agrees that his data can be forwarded to Geolocation. Shopify privacy policy: https://www.shopify.com/de/legal/datenschutz.
11) Social media plug-ins
The social plugins described below are used on the website. The plugins are deactivated by default on the website and therefore do not send any data. You can activate the plugins by clicking on the corresponding social media button.
If these plugins are activated, your browser establishes a direct connection with the servers of the respective social network as soon as you access the website. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly to your browser by the social network and integrated into the website. The plugins can be deactivated again with one click.
Further information can be found in the data protection declaration of the respective service.
a) Facebook plugins
This website uses social plugins from Facebook to make the website more personal. This is an offer from the US company Meta Platforms, Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA-94025, USA. By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of the website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not currently logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted from your browser directly to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign your visit to the website directly to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and displayed to your Facebook friends. Facebook can use this information for the purposes of advertising, market research and needs-based design of the Facebook pages. For this purpose, Facebook creates usage profiles, interest and relationship profiles, e.g. to evaluate your use of the website with regard to the advertisements shown to you on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on the website and for other purposes related to the use of Facebook to provide related services. If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via GenActive's website to your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before visiting the website. The purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your related rights and setting options to protect your privacy can be found in Facebook's data protection information at: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.
b) YouTube plugins
The website uses plugins from YouTube, belonging to Google Inc., based in San Bruno/California, USA. As soon as you visit the website equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which specific page of the website you visited. 12) Transfer of personal data abroad
GenActive is entitled to transfer your personal data to third parties (commissioned service providers) abroad if this is necessary for the data processing described in this data protection declaration and if this does not seriously endanger the personality of the persons concerned.
These third parties are committed to data protection to the same extent as GenActive. If the level of data protection in a country does not correspond to that in Switzerland or Europe, GenActive contractually ensures that the protection of your personal data corresponds to that in Switzerland or the EU at all times. The user expressly agrees to this, where necessary.
Users residing in a member state of the EU or Switzerland should note that, from the perspective of the European Union, the USA does not have an adequate level of data protection. On July 10, 2023, the new Data Privacy Framework (data protection agreement between the EU and the USA) came into force. US companies can join the framework by committing to compliance with data protection regulations. This makes data transfers to the USA much easier. US companies can certify their participation in the data protection framework through certification. The agreement is administered by the US Department of Commerce. Certification applications are also processed and monitored there.
Where possible, GenActive transfers data in the USA to appropriately certified companies. Failure to do so poses a risk that user data will be processed by authorities for control and surveillance purposes, possibly without the possibility of redress.
